Senior Pastor: Jeff Hines

Jeff Hines was born in Florida, and his wife, Kathy, is a native of Seattle, Washington.  They met as teens in a Sunday school class in the church where his dad served as pastor.  Pastor Jeff and Kathy have been married for 32 years.  Their family consists of two adult sons who live in the Atlanta area and three wonderful grandchildren: Aden, Abby, and Alex.

His call to pastoral ministry came in 1983 while he was serving in the United States Coast Guard as a Lay Chaplain aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Lipan.  He attributes his call to ministry as a result of finding Christ as his personal Savior and Sanctifier and his willingness to allow God’s grace and will to grow in his life.  From 1990 to 1993, Pastor Jeff and Kathy attended Nazarene Bible College in Colorado where he graduated with a degree in Pastoral Ministry.  Since his ordination as an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene in 1994, Pastor Jeff and Kathy have served churches in Kansas and Georgia.  They were warmly welcomed to Sharpsburg Church of the Nazarene on July 1, 2001.

Pastor Hines preaches that through Christ’s sacrificial death provision is made for our salvation and right relationship with God.  His sermons illustrate that God provides the means and way for us to live in power and righteousness for the purpose of fulfilling His daily and ultimate plan for our lives.

Pastor Jeff and Kathy invite you to worship with us at any of weekly services.  They are always willing and able to greet you with a smile when you do walk through our doors.

 Youth Pastor: Steve Queen

Steve Queen was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Steve gave his life to the Lord at the age of nine and soon after felt God's call upon his life to preach.  In his teen years he strayed away from God; but God never relented to pursue him.  At the age of 22, Steve rededicated his life to the Lord and God reconfirmed his call to the ministry.  Steve is a graduate of Nazarene Bible College with a B.A. in Ministry.  Steve has ministered in churches in Ohio, Tennessee, and is now serving on staff at Sharpsburg since 2009.  Steve is married to his lovely wife Michele who is a R.N..  Their family consist of two young adult sons and one teenage daughter.
